About the Owner:

Lauren comes from a long line of crafty women! She got her start crocheting with her grandmother at six years old and continued to develop her interests and skills as time passed. Over the years, she used her talents to launch several successful women-owned businesses. Included in these ventures would be Haute Homemades, a jewelry making business, and Joonbug, where she designed and sewed children’s clothing, cloth diapers and pads. Lauren’s creativity is insatiable and she enjoys working with many mediums; however, sewing is her longest living crafty passion. She’s yearned to quilt since the age of sixteen, being influenced after seeing a neighbor’s beautiful handmade quilt on display. Nearly twelve years later, she took her first quilting class in the small town of Summerville, South Carolina and her love for quilting blossomed. Now, with over nine years of quilting experience and continuing enthusiasm for the art, she invested in her first long arm and the Coffee Cake Quilt Company was born!
